£3374 raised THANK YOU! In 2012, I decided to kick off my first year of trail and ultra running with a bang. My goal was to race 600 miles and in the process raise as much money as I could for my chosen cause – the children’s ward at the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC). I thoroughly enjoyed my year of running, and despite sustaining two stress fractures in the process, managed to get to the second to last race before I had to stop. After the Transalpine Race my foot injury was too bad to run on and so I pulled out of the 105km Ultra Trail Atlas Toubkal. Despite this, thanks to fantastic support by my friends and family (and even Amy’s nursery who held a bake sale!) I managed to raise £3374 for the ward.

Earlier this month I had the pleasure of personally delivering the cheque to the doctors and nurses who work within the NSIC. Originally the money was designated to purchase a Yougrabber, but as time has passed new technology has emerged and the money will now be going towards Tyromotion therapy equipment. I know that the staff were extremely grateful for the contribution so I’d like to say a huge thank you to every person that donated 🙂 Childrens ward NSIC
