I’ve missed a few posts recently, including the Bournemouth marathon, although without photos the purpose of a blog is pointless here. There was only one photo taken of me, in my fancy dress Cow! – see below:
The Beachy Head Marathon is a shade under 26 miles although you will have done at least a full marathon by the time you’ve walked from your car (longer the walk the later you arrive). Luckily for me the wobbly walk back to the car passed a pub for a cheeky (if lame) half pint of Guinness, which I desperately needed. This is a tough race, tougher than I thought it would be and that I had originally given it credit for. So hats off to the organisers for creating such a challenging yet fun race.
Here are the photos from the day, which should give any one thinking of doing it in 2015 an idea of what’s to come. Sorry but the camera ran out of battery during the last 10 miles and so most of the seven sisters are missing, which is a great shame as they were a real novelty, very shattering, and very beautiful. I feel very lucky to run in great locations such as these – and thankfully no cow costume, i’ll not be doing that again, I was so hot and dizzy!!
As always – massive thanks to all the supporters and marshals that came out to support us on. It was definitely an event where support keeps you going.
