A look back at some of my favourite runs since I started my blog in 2012. A lot of the photos were taken by
Kris who runs most races with a camera and takes some pretty awesome shots along the way. This year we both have a place in the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (eeeek!) so this is posted in the spirit of motivation!
A few miles into my first ever trail race, the Endurance Life South Devon Marathon. The first half of the route was really stunning but I started feeling the burn on the second half which had quite a bit of tarmac
Having a fantastic time at the 2011 New York Marathon. The weather was great and the crowds were amazing
The view back from Hengistbury Head towards Bournemouth on a late evening run

Having a recce of the start of the Western States 100 in Squaw Valley
High above Lake Tahoe. I got very lost the next day and ended up scrambling up some very sketchy rock faces to find my way out!

Getting very muddy on a training run on the Jurassic Coast
Running back towards Studland
A fun training run in the snow in Leysin
During the Transgrancanaria Marathon. I had a terrible day, tripping over four times during the race and ended up in the medical tent in the end
On the plus side, I was third female in my age category and 11th overall which is probably my best placing in an international race
Another year, another Sussex Trail Marathon. The weather wasn’t so kind on this day
Training in leysin
A 4am start for the Mont Blanc 80km, the hardest race I’ve done to date
Not even half way through the Chamonix 80km
Interviewing Stevie Kremer just after her record breaking win at the 2013 Mont Blanc Marathon

Meeting Amy and Kris after the London Marathon. I threw up a lot of Lucozade shortly after this photo was taken!
On a press trip to beautiful Puglia. I am being interviewed for Eurosport in this photo and trying to stop giggling!
Running in Gargano
Hanging out with the other writers, blogger and runners after an amazing lunch
Looking out from the Gargano Peninsular
Amy giving me a lovely send of before the North Downs Way 50 🙂
Filling up on mandarins half way around the North Downs Way 50 miler
